Relief & Development

Operation Mobilization is a non-profit organization committed to making a positive impact on individuals and communities around the world by providing relief and development services, medical/community health services, educational literature and vocational training. To do this, we operate a global network mobilizing people and resources for countries in need.

Medical Ministries
• Mobilizing medical professionals who have a passion for God and for people and who desire to help reach the nations with the Gospel.

• AIDSLink is OM's international HIV/AIDS umbrella ministry, helping OM teams strategise, develop and implement programmes, finding resources, mobilising prayer and personnel. Visit the website: www.aidslink.om.org

India
• Emergency relief and long-term rebuilding efforts for earthquake victims, including food, water, clothing, etc.
• Medical care and rebuilding efforts for cyclone victims
• Ongoing programs in slums including schools, clinics, adult literacy and job training.

Afghanistan
• Supplied food, clothing, blankets, etc. for refugees
• Ongoing distribution of aid in villages

Middle East
• Childrens immunization & wellness clinics for nomadic tribes.
• Produce farming through reintroduction of 1600 olive trees.
• Computer courses for Palestinian Women & physically challenged.

Papua New Guinea (Pacific Islands)
• Facilitators in the reconciliation process due to decade long war in Bougainville.
• Releif aid of clothing, medicines, and hygiene supplies.
• 10,000 books donated to local leaders, libraries, churches and schools.
• 13 traveling teams reaching remote villages with aid.

Turkey (Middle East)
• Emergency relief and long term rebuilding efforts for earthquake victims.
• Rebuilding the Hasanpaba Primary School that had been destroyed.
• Established 350 family shelters.
• Heating units for temporary "tent villages".

Mozambique (Southern Africa)
• Supply food, clothing, and medical supplies to flood-devastated families.

Liberia (West Afrcia)
• Literature aid to schools, universities and prisons.
• 500 immediate care packages (food, clothing, school kit & toys) to 20 orphanages.
• Restocking of medical supplies in hospitals.
• Twelve project teams aided in construction and crop re-cultivation assistance.

(OM's land based teams did have significant involvement in relief efforts in Bosnia and are continuing to help Kosovo refugees in their resettlement.)
