Good Shepherd Community Church Pastors/Workers
Operation Mobilization India has more than 1,200 Indian men and women devoted to serving Christ in their nation, especially within the Good Shepherd Community Church movement. These national workers serve in unique capacities matching their ministry skills and spiritual calling. Each national worker is required to raise at least part of their personal financial support from Indian donors. The rest can be covered by international partners. Each worker is actively involved in starting new believers' fellowships through OM India's Good Shepherd Community Church (GSCC) network of fellowships. Some national workers are full-fledged pastors, while others are in training. Partners may choose to sponsor a GSCC pastor/worker within OM India, as well as the ministry area of their choice. Partners will receive a profile card and photo of their national worker, in addition to occasional newsletters giving updates on both ministry activities and family news. Following is information for sponsoring the personal expenses of Indian National Workers.
Monthly: $30 per month per person (partial sponsorship of living expenses)
Twice per year: $180 per 6 months per person (partial sponsorship of living expenses)
Annually: $360 per 12 months per person (partial sponsorship of living expenses)

OM India seeks individuals to partner with these Indian nationals on a long-term basis. Additionally, sponsorship may take the form of a part or all of the $100 per month required. Consistent, smaller gifts are always appreciated.

Disciple Making Teams
Operation Mobilization India currently has 19 long term teams working among specific peoples in both North and South India. The goal of these teams is to lovingly share the Good News with the people of each community to help them come to a personal relationship with the living God. Eventually, these teams seek to start home fellowship groups under OM India’s Good Shepherd Community Church network. These teams are mainly involved in house visitation, local Christian leadership development, fellowship groups, prayer meetings and seekers conferences. OM India seeks partners to sponsor the ministry activities of these 19 Disciple Making teams. Partners may choose the general geographic area of the team which they would like to sponsor. Partners will receive periodic project updates reporting on the progress and activities of the team they are sponsoring. These updates will contain stories of the team’s main spiritual contacts in their area, as well as testimonies of OM’s Disciple making team members.
Yearly Ministry Expenses: $17,250 per team, per year
(includes discipleship programs, medical work, literacy classes and vocational training classes, plus administrative fee)
OM India seeks individuals to partner with these Disciple Making teams on a long-term basis. Additionally, sponsorship may take the form of a part or all of the yearly ministry expenses required. Consistent, smaller gifts are always appreciated.

Dalit Education Centers
In response to the steps toward freedom for the Dalit community after the Dalit Conversion Ceremony in November 2001, OM India has been invited to educate Dalit children. OM India has started 34 small schools in key places around the nation as invited by the Dalit community. OM India is seeking partners to sponsor these Dalit Education Centers, as well as ones to be developed in the future. Partners may choose the general geographic area of the team which they would like to sponsor. Partners will receive background information on the school they are sponsoring, as well as periodic project updates reporting on the progress and activities of the team they are sponsoring. These updates will contain stories of the team’s main spiritual contacts in their area, as well as testimonies of OM’s Dalit Education Center team members.
Construction / Start Up Costs: $30,000 per school, one time fee

Yearly Operational Expenses: $15,000 per school, per year

Yearly Child Sponsorship: $240 per child, per year ($20 per month)

Training and Education
More than half of OM India’s 1,200 national workers are in today’s training / educational program, now known as the Asian College of Cultural Studies (ACCS). ACCS is a viable resource for creating tomorrow’s Christian leaders in today’s dynamic society. The OM India’s training philosophy promotes integrative learning. The workers are required to be at work on the field while they are learning in the classroom so they can directly apply what they have learned to real life situations. In addition to the integrated approach, OM India strongly believes in lifelong learning. Even OM India’s top senior leaders are pursuing higher education. Currently three degree programs are available to OM India’s workers – Bachelor of Ministry, Master of Divinity and Master of Arts. OM India is seeking partners to sponsor the academic fees of OM India’s workers enrolled as students in the various degree programs.
Cost per student per year for Bachelor of Ministry program: US $148 per student per year (current total 750 students; goal in 5 years 1,000 students)
Cost per student per year for OM India Master of Divinity program: US $178 per student per year (current total 50 students; goal in 5 years 75-125 students)
Cost per student per year for OM India Master of Arts program: US $178 per student per year (current total 40 students; goal in 5 years 75-125 students)
Cost per student per year for Briercrest Master of Arts program: US $317 per student per year (current total 43 students; goal in 5 years 60-100 students)

Holistic
Team Ministry Expenses
The goal of OM India’s Good Shepherd Holistic Ministry is to proclaim the love of Christ both in word and in deed, and to see caring Christian commitments established among the poor in India’s urban slums. In partnership with local churches and mission groups, OM India runs medical clinics, primary schools for children, literacy classes for adults, vocational training for men and women, house fellowship groups under OM India’s Good Shepherd Community Church network for believers and other development-related projects. Each of the nine teams also requires funding for daily ministry activities. Partners may choose the general geographic area of the team which they would like to sponsor. Partners will receive periodic project updates reporting on the progress and activities of the team they are sponsoring. These updates will contain stories of the team’s main spiritual contacts in their area, as well as testimonies of OM’s Good Shepherd Holistic team members.

Film and Literature Field Teams
Operation Mobilization India currently has 175 Film and Literature Teams. Each team is made up of six national workers ages 18-30. They have a commitment of at least four years in OM India and work in cooperation with local churches to bring transformation to communities through the love of God. Film and Literature teams combine a pioneering multi-media ministry with a personal and holistic approach to transforming communities with the love of the living God. Their main activities include house visitation, film shows, literacy classes and health and hygiene awareness programs. OM India is seeking partners to sponsor these Film and Literature Teams. Partners may choose the general geographic area of the team which they would like to sponsor. Partners will receive periodic project updates reporting on the progress and activities of the team they sponsor.

Dharmapuri AIDS Project
The Dharmapuri AIDS project is a unique effort to provide emotional counseling and basic medical advice to AIDS patients traveling through this “truck-stop” town in Southern India. Businessmen and truck drivers who pass through this town are known for their multiple sexual partners, most often with prostitutes or other HIV positive people. OM India started a work in this town in 2000 and since that time their counseling ministry to these desperate people has grown and gained a positive reputation. OM India seeks two types of partnership for this work. First, OM India needs financial sponsors to fund the programs of this team. These programs include health and hygiene awareness, HIV/AIDS seminars, emotional counseling, film shows, house visitation, Bible studies and home fellowships. Sponsors will receive periodic updates on the team which includes testimonies from team members and their contacts. In addition to the financial sponsorship, OM India is seeking interested prayer partners from the medical profession who would occasionally visit the area to conduct special medical camps or other strategic programs.
