Long Term Teams Many of the Indian national workers working on the Long Term Teams come from the people group among whom they are working. At some time, these workers followed Christ, joined with OM India, received high quality training in Christian ministry, and have now returned to their own people to share the wonderful Good News with their family, friends, colleagues and neighbors. This is one of the most exciting parts of OM India’s work as we see national workers making an eternal difference in the lives of the ones most dear to them. Some of the people among whom OM India’s Long Term Teams are working are the Vankars of North India, the Lingayats of South India, and the Goundars of South India. |
Operation Mobilization India currently has 19 long term teams working among specific peoples in both North and South India. The goal of these teams is to lovingly share the Good News with the people of each community to help them come to a personal relationship with the living God. Eventually, these teams seek to start home fellowship groups under the umbrella of OM India’s Good Shepherd Community Church network. These teams are mainly involved in house visitation, local Christian leadership development, fellowship groups, prayer meetings and seekers’ conferences.
