OM Books sells imported books, CDs, and cassettes, but focuses more on encouraging Indian authors to publish their own writing. Indigenous authors can grasp the heart and soul of the Indian people in a more effective way than international writers. Additionally, OM Books has a large market for re-printed international books. Because printing and distribution costs are much lower in India, OM Books can obtain printing rights from International publishing houses, re-print the books in India, and then sell them for highly discounted prices affordable to the average Indian believer.
