Today, as in the beginning, OM's ministry around the world is characterized by the desire to go where few are willing to go and to identify those who have no opportunity to hear about Jesus. Planting churches and distributing Bibles and Christian literature play a vital part. In addition, OM workers are constantly seeking innovative ways to connect with people and proclaim the truth about Jesus. This includes creative evangelism methods but also responding to the HIV/AIDS pandemic, feeding refugees, ministering to street children and so much more--bringing the Gospel into needy situations around the world.As we follow God's leading for OM's future, our ministry includes:
-
encouraging and training new missionaries from non-Western nations;
-
reaching teens for Christ and helping them experience and serve God;
-
showing mercy by helping those who are suffering; bringing the Gospel back to Europe, a continent that has turned away from God;
-
continuing to help bring spiritual and social transformation in India through 2,000 Indian OMers;
-
bringing peace to Muslims, Hindus and others through encountering Jesus;
-
bringing knowledge, help and hope via the OM ships;
-
mobilizing people, prayer and finances for missions;
- and in all things using all possible means to share the Gospel.
