Reaching
North Africans in Europe
By the hundreds of thousands they arrive at ports in
southern Spain, crowding bus stations or creating long lines
of cars, all waiting to board ferries to North Africa. A huge
outreach focuses on North Africans who live in Europe and
travel each summer back to their homeland on vacation. In
southern Spain, Richard & Susan from New Jersey lead OM's
involvement in Operation Transit.
Several ministries, including OM, work together to get the
Gospel into the hands of these people who are normally spread
out across Europe. Teams work in shifts making packets which
contain New Testaments, Gospel tracts, copies of the Jesus
video, Christian radio schedules and more, all in Arabic and
French. Others take these packets out into the port area or
to the bus stations, giving away as many as possible. As a result, throughout the port area Muslims can be seen
intently reading the New Testaments. Others eagerly receive
the material and hide it in their luggage as quickly as possible
to make sure it gets into North Africa with them. Because
of this outreach, thousands of North Africans have been exposed
to the Gospel and have been able to share the material with
others in their homelands. Trekking in Nepal
Jon exchanged Portland city life for the majestic mountains of Nepal, trekking through the Himalayas distributing the word of God to mountain villagers. In Jon's recent trek, an elderly man who can't read received Gospel literature which his grandson is reading to him. Good News for Wales
At school assemblies in South Wales Jonathan Harris tells thousands of teens the Gospel. He and his wife, Amy, help churches with evangelism, working to expand Jesus video distribution to 40,000 homes.
