Until we come to terms with war as the context of our days we will not
understand life. We will misinterpret 90 percent of what is happening
around us and to us. The day is coming, later, when the lion shall lie
down with the lamb and we'll beat swords into plowshares. For now,
it's bloody battle. It sure explains a whole heckuva lot.--John Eldredge
Unfortunately, many of God's children are unaware of the works of Satan
when they suffer at his hands. Whatever happens they attribute to the
natural, the accident, and the human - not discerning how in many natural
occurrences there abides the satanically supernatural, how in many accidental
episodes there hides the devilish plotting, and how in many human dealings
there is involved the wicked maneuvers of the enemy.—Watchman Nee
Maybe we too easily accept with fatalistic resignation what we should
furiously rage and war against. Instead of simply accepting the evil
things that happen around us solely with a "that's life" attitude, perhaps
we should, with holy defiance, shout, "Enough!" Then, in the power
of Christ within us, take more authority over the evil spirits around us.--
