Our friends are suffering. Please help us help them. When the cyclone struck Myanmar, they weren’t faceless, nameless multitudes devastated ... they were our friends and neighbors. We’ve worked in this country for a full 10 years. When the earthquake struck China, two of our own team members were living at the quake’s epicenter. They escaped their building just before it collapsed -- and spent days helping neighbors search the rubble for survivors. We have been called to these distraught people -- and in fact, we’ll still be there long after the TV crews and cameras have gone home. We need at least $75,000 for our Crisis Response Fund to respond to these horrific twin emergencies and bring the hope of Jesus Christ to the suffering.
In both countries, we are committed to long-term ministry. When the news stories have faded, we’ll still be sharing the hope of Christ, strengthening local churches, and bringing the Gospel to those who have never seen or heard the Word. In both Myanmar and China, the situations are changing daily. Our teams on the ground continue to assess the needs and adjust ministry accordingly. Thank you for understanding, and for responding from a heart of Christlike compassion. Your partner in missions, Rick Hicks P.S. Your response today will help our teams minister to the hurting people around them in both Myanmar and China. Please send your most generous possible gift.
