POSITION: TRAINING OFFICER
Responsible to: Director of ARTSLINK

Status: Full-time, support-based, committment at least 2 year

MAJOR GOAL OF THIS POSITION:
The Training Officer of ARTSLINK is to seek to fulfill the mission and goals of the ministry by equipping and encouraging the artists sent out on short- and long-term posts.
'To help develop a comprehensive and creative plan of action that will enable the visual arts ministry to achieve its long term objectives. This will mean being able to plan, organize, and communicate effectively, as well as to develop creative and appropriate means of training for the participants involved.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
1. Assist to build the foundation and support system of the visual art ministry, while learning more about OM as an organization and the developing vision and goals of ArtsLink as a particular movement within it.
2. Passion for investing in people and developing programs for training, preparing and equipping participants for ministry both short- and long-term. These programs would seek to spiritually prepare the participants as well as equip them appropriately for using the visual arts ministry in a particular culture.
3. Coordinating the first days of orientation, as well as the last days of debriefing involved in each ARTSLINK international outreach.
4. Actively researching new visual arts ministry resources as to keep the training up to date and relevant for current participants.
5. Keep on going records of training used and create a training manual.
6. If artistic, one day a week set aside for personal creating in order to keep artistic skills honed.
